These were an experiment for a show
recently. I liked the feel of them and the panel
they are painted on. My daughter's shoes...
have alot of my kids shoes....there were alot of
feet that wore all of them...
hand me to try and paint them.

I like how these pink shoes turned out. They
are actually painted on a piece of left over siding
from my addition. Composite material that is smooth.
Then the panel the piece is mounted on has been
treated to look like a chalk board...and then I drew on it
with chalk. The whole thing reminds me of so many
aspects of childhood.

These are some antique shoes an antique dealer
I used to babysit for gave me as a present.
I have had them since I was 15 and finally got
around to their purpose. They will teach me alot
about painting and they are fun to draw!

Riley's shoes....from a life time ago. He now wears
size 13/14....HUGE feet...from such a cute little boy....

This last one is a collage on top of an old oil painting
done several years ago. It was fun to build the image into
something different with papers and textures.

A show in 2 weeks yields rapid painting.
I need at least 10 more of these. All small on canvas
mounted on board with a raised frame on the back,
these will be ready to hang. No frame needed.

In keeping with a tool phase I am entering.
This c-clamp actually is this red!!

Painting blue jeans is alot of fun...not that anyone cares...but it is very satisfying...especially if you like the color blue.

This is a copy of a painting I found in the VOLGA gallery. I love the painters there and I am learning SO much. They use paint so wonderfully...THIS IS NOT FOR I copied it. I did it just because I loved the painting and wanted to see if I could learn something...and boy did I!!!

After talking with a friend about subject matter...we came to the conclusion..that just like a writer, artists should paint what they know...just as writer's should write about what they know...
These days, all I seem to really know is SNOW. So I'm finding myself intrigued by it and wanting to translate it into shoveling necessary...

Recent painting done during a very deep freeze. I tried to capture the clarity of the air since everything seemed to crystalize the minute the cold touched it...
